Bottle Gourd curry or Calabash Andhra style recipe/Sorakaya paalu / Lauki Subji with Milk / Ghiya curry

Ingredients:

Bottle Gourd 1 small-cut in to small pieces
Green chilies-4
curry leaves- few
Onion -one medium,chopped
Oil-4 tbsp. or less
Coriander-1 small bunch chopped
Milk-1/2 cup
Red chili powder-1 tbsp. or less
Turmeric powder-3 pinches
salt- to taste

Preparation:

Heat oil in a kadai or cooker pan.
Add green chilies,curry leaves and then onions.
Fry the onions until transparent.
Add the Bottle Gourd pieces
Add salt,turmeric powder,red chili powder.
Mix well.close the lid.
If you are using cooker then wait for 3 vissels.
If you are not using cooker then cook until bottle gourd pieces are soft(not too soft).
Now put it on a high flame to evaporate the water if there is much in the curry & add coriander now.
When the curry reaches a stage that it is not either watery or not without mist at all then reduce the flame to low and add milk .Mix well and turn off the stove.
Change the curry in to a serving bowl.
