The DEWALT DXMF01052 Short Cuff Fabricator’s Gloves are a premium solution for general purpose metal fabrication and light-duty MIG / TIG welding. These general duty welder’s gloves utilize reinforced leather palms and fire resistant fabrics on the back and cuff to provide you with serious heat protection without sacrificing dexterity.
This allows for easier, more precise equipment control during welds and metalworking that leads to a cleaner result. Durable Kevlar threading on the palm and throughout the entire glove resists heat and won’t burn or melt during long use. The shell and liner are rated EN407 level 1 for protection against the transmission of direct contact heat. The palm of the glove is further reinforced by additional layers of leather at high-abrasion locations like the thumb saddle and along the side of the hand with a drag patch for a truly long wearing glove.

For additional protection from the bumps often encountered when welding and working with heavy metal parts, the knuckles feature cotton-padded impact guards. The long, short, work glove style cuffs have adjustabel hook and loop closures for a snug, secure fit that is easy to put on and remove, stays securely in place while you work, and keeps out dirt, metal shavings and welding debris.

The back side stretch to fit helps make these a well fitting light/medium duty glove. With the short cuff they are good for safety with simpler tasks around heat/flames. Flame resistance seems good. Great gloves for finishing up tasks or smaller tasks. They are not designed to be long cuff heavy duty/serious welding gloves, there are many other gloves designed for that. These are great to slip on and do some quick smaller tasks, and allow more precision dexterity.
I realize these are not for heavy fabrication purposes, but even under light tacking, grinding, and fit up there are holes and wear in the back after a few weeks. Too close to a tack or small weld and the material deforms quickly. Really was hoping for durable fab gloves that aren’t thick leather that impedes dexterity.

Theyre great i put them though hell. Only reason they arent worth 5 stars is because i know after a couple more months of use ill need to replace as im cutting and handling heavy metals/high heat everyday. If thats not somthing youre doing these should be great for you
