This Semiya payasam/Vermicelli sweet is very easy to make.
Ghee/clarified butter-5 to 6 table spoons
Hot water -1 cup
Sugar- 1/2 cup or according to your taste
Raisins & Dry fruits- according to availability
Cardamom Powder-3 to 4 pinches
Heat 2 table spoons of Ghee in a pan and fry the raisin & dry fruits and keep them aside. Now Pour the remaining ghee in the pan and fry the vermicelli until it turns to golden brown in colour.Now add the hot water and let it cook for 3 minutes on a medium flame. No add the milk and let it cook for about 7 minutes on medium low flame. Now add the sugar and mix well .Finally add cardamom powder, raisin & dry fruits.
Delicious Payasam is ready.
You can add milk in place of hot water for a better taste.
